Flat Chisel

The working principle of the flat chisel is the same as the pointed chisel - both concentrate energy at a single point for breaking.  

However, due to its flat design, it offers better wear resistance and is more suitable for breaking harder materials, such as high-hardness rocks and layered concrete.
